“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV
Kinetic Partners is not merely a business venture—it’s a vehicle through which to respond to a God-given calling. Writing a purpose statement was how this sense of calling from deep inside became crystal clear and turned into a grounding anchor from which everything else is shaped. It’s more than a mission; answers the ‘why’ question, is deeply personal, and rooted is in my faith.
Shaped By Dependence
This purpose continues to connect me to questions I had years ago, in a pivotal time in my life and career. A new opportunity arose, fulfilling a prayer I had carried for over a decade—to unite my ‘heart work’ with my vocational work in response to a genuine calling. It was one of those moments when the years leading up to it now made perfect sense, and yet I felt woefully inadequate for the assignment ahead. It was deeply humbling—part of years-long lessons in humility—a welcomed sort of humbling that showed I was following His path while also revealing how much more I need Him.
“He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:3b NIV
Taking on this role, I sought to deepen and fortify the foundation beneath my professional expertise, seeking Biblical insights for leading transformational change in organizations. I searched for what others had written on the subject, but it was like trying to quench my thirst with raindrops when what I needed was a full bucket of water. And so, I stepped forward, following His light—a mere lamp unto my feet.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.” Psalm 119:105 NIV
Having completed that journey, I’m now more grateful than ever to have felt so inadequate. It kept me on my knees and pressing into the Word, seeking my Savior. It’s in these seasons when He shapes us the most—experiences that far surpass what any doctoral-level degree could ever teach. I was forever changed, reoriented to follow my Lord, and desperate to be available and courageous to do whatever He chooses to involve me in. Like Peter, please call my name and I will walk forward onto the stormy sea—whatever it takes to be in your presence. I never want to miss out on being right there, in His presence, as He changes lives and restores His kingdom.
“‘Lord, if it’s you’, Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to you on the water.’ ‘Come,’ He said.” Matthew 14:28-29b NIV
A New Faith Journey
This year, I was surprised by a prompting to once again embark on a Bible-in-a-year study. Immediately, God began highlighting the very insights I had sought years ago. With His call to write already clear, it became obvious that now is the time to capture these lessons for senior leaders pursuing a God-given calling to lead organizational transformation.
I’m no theologian—just a seasoned woman with a life shaped by faith-building experiences, a leader with decades of professional expertise, and now stirred by my own God-given calling. In the first few books of the Bible, one of the key lessons is to know and trust God, and then because of who He is, to be obedient to His command. And so, I write.
It may feel awkward and messy at first, but His hand is already shaping the path.
It may seem clumsy in the beginning, but it will move in step with His rhythm.
I may not see any fruit, but the garden He designed is already flourishing.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV
